dōTerra Essential Oils Canada, Faith, From my Kitchen to Yours

When a Smell Brings you Back…..

Have you ever been cruising through your day and WHAM! you get hit with a smell that takes you back to an exact moment in time? It may be fresh baked bread but in my case it is Dutch Breakfast Koek.

In Holland, where my husband is from, this is a familiar sight and smell for families as they gather at the table before separating for the day and going to school and work.

I have been learning about the health benefits of essential oils recently and putting into practice diffusing various blends in our home for healing as well as for scent (aromatherapy).

It amazes me that when God created the world he placed in it all of the plants that we currently derive our typical pharmaceuticals from, as well as providing us with the healing properties of the essential oils from these plants! The essential oils I use are dōTERRA based on their oil purity, Healing Hands program and therapeutic grade oils.

Fun Fact: The word dōTerra is a combination of two Latin words: meaning gift or gifts of; Terra meaning the Earth! dōTerra = Gifts of the Earth which I think is simple and beautiful!

Back to some smells in the kitchen! Today I came up with this little ditty by accident and there I was, in Oma’s Kitchen as if by magic!

The benefits and uses of clove date back to ancient China and India, as well as other parts of the world. Clove essential oil comes from the unopened flower buds of the evergreen tree. It is also one of the key ingredients found in the doTERRA On Guard® Protective Blend due to its powerful antioxidant and immune-enhancing properties.* Clove bud contains a significant amount of eugenol, an active chemical component that gives the essential oil its energizing fragrance and a variety of benefits.
Clove essential oil blends well with Wild Orange, Frankincense, Roman Chamomile, Cassia, Cedarwood, Ginger, Fennel, or Cinnamon Bark essential oils.
Diffuse three to four drops alone or with other essential oils. Mix with water in a spray bottle and use to wipe down surfaces. Inhale directly from the bottle or the palms of the hands.
Add one drop to your favorite recipe.
Dilute one drop in 4 fl. oz. of liquid.
Take in a veggie capsule to boost immunity
Put a few drops on a cotton ball or a Q-tip and apply directly on gums or teeth to soothe discomfort.
Combine with doTERRA® Fractionated Coconut Oil and massage the bottom of feet or desired area.
The name clove derives from the Latin word clavus which means “nail.” Cloves no doubt earned the name because the buds resemble small nails or tacks. In the third century BC, a Chinese leader in the Han Dynasty required those who addressed him to chew cloves to freshen their breath.
Put 2–4 drops in a quarter glass of water and use as a mouthwash, or add to toothpaste. *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
